Clay Twangford was born somewhere between a busted banjo string, a gravel road, and a gas station breakfast burrito that nobody should have trusted. Raised in the proud tradition of country music, backyard wisdom, and saying “I know Blake Shelton” slightly too often, Clay grew up believing a man only needs three things in life: a guitar, a good hat, and a story that gets better every time he tells it.

A self-proclaimed country music legend, Clay has spent decades almost making it big. He nearly opened for a guy who once tuned a guitar for Toby Keith. He was almost discovered at a county fair until the power went out. And according to Clay, he lives “close enough to Blake Shelton to hear opportunity knock.”

With a voice described as “somewhere between Waylon Jennings and a lawn mower that won’t start,” Clay brings raw honesty, questionable confidence, and old-school country grit to every performance. His songs cover the big things: love, trucks, heartbreak, barbecue sauce, unpaid tabs, and the mysterious disappearance of his second-best cowboy boots.

Clay is also the proud founder of Twangford Truths, a personal philosophy built on hard work, loud shirts, and never admitting the karaoke machine was in the wrong key. Whether he’s performing at a rodeo, judging a chili cook-off, or explaining why Nashville “just wasn’t ready for him,” Clay Twangford remains committed to one goal:
